7 Years Ago I was diagnosed with Postpartum Depression because I was trying to "be perfect," the "default to everyone's solution," and control things that I had no business controlling. I lost all strength, I was anxious, I was easily irritated and frustrated, overwhelmed, and although I was in Church and did my duties as Deacon's wife, I couldn't think, see, or do anything straight. It wasn't until my diagnosis and forced pause from work and life that I had to transition into being an Empowered Working Mom. Since then, I have been on a mission to empower working moms to lean on God as their foundation and align their work-life balance and career vision with Him. It's only through God's alignment, that you can experience true joy, fulfillment, peace, and abundance in a falling world.
The EWM Breakfast is a continued celebration of Mother’s Day. Mother’s Day is intended to honor the sacrifices mothers make for their children and their families. But it is often overlooked how much mothers neglect their physical, emotional, and spiritual strength and how they have allowed their dreams to fade. We hold the EWM Breakfast to follow Mother’s Day reminding working mothers of how special they are, and giving them time to renew their physical, emotional, and spiritual strength.
